BOWLING.
CENTRE MATCHES. The president of the Manawatu Bowling Centre (Mr J. A. Nash) has received advice that the Wairarapa bowlers will nay their annual visit to the Manawatu Centre on Saturday, March 2. Play will take place on the Takaro and Manawatu greens. The annual visit to the Wellington Centre will take place on Thursday, March 7. Games will be played on various greens in the morning, commencing at 10 o’clock, and the centre match, Wellington v. Manawatu, at 2.J0 p.m. . The veterans’ match will place at the Hokowhitu green on Wednesday, February 28, at 9 a.in. The champion of champions singles will be played on the Northern green, commencing at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 24.
