Nielsen has been appointed Registrar of Dogs for the year 1940, and that the Office of the Council, Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, is the Registration Office. Mr N. Grayson (County Ranger) has been appointed Deputy Registrar, and dogs may be registered with him. Registration Fees have been fixed as follows : Dogs kept solely for the purpose of herding or droving .sheep or ’'cattle, 2s 6d each. All other dogs, 10s each. In addition to the above Fees there will be a further Fee of one shilling (Is) for each dog registered in respect of the supply of Arecoline Hydrobromide Tablets as the approved remedy to be used in the treatment of dogs | for the prevention of Hydatid disease | under the provisions of the “Dogs Registration (Prevention of Hydatid Disease) Regulations, 1938.” Under the provisions of “The Dogs Registration Emergency Regulations, 1939,” the life of the registration effected for the year, 1939, has been extended to the Ist February, 1940, and liability to register for year ending 31st December. 1940, is therefore, 1 postponed to Ist February, 1940.
