S UI3STA XTI AL IN Oil EASE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Dec. 29. The report of the Commissioner for Customs and Excise for the financial year ended March 31 shows that tobacco, with an increase of two millions sterling, produced a record yield of over £84,750,000. The net receipts from Customs and Excise were £340,550,000, or £-190,000 more than the previous year. The principal increases of revenue, apart irom tobacco, were tea £3,500,000 (largely due to the increase of duty, the consumption being about the same), sugar £1,100.000, oil £7,700,000 (mainly due to the increased duty, •despite wliich the consumption of petrol and light oils increased by 3 per cent, and heavy oil used as road fuel by 33 per cent). The number of dog licenses also increased.
