CENTENNIAL SPRING SHOW

MANY GRATIFYING FEATURES HIGH-CLASS STOCK EXHIBITS Auspicious circumstances accompanied the opening, today, of the Centennial Spring Show of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association, which will conclude on Saturday. 'Sunshine bathed the grounds in the morning, although a fairly steady wind prevailed. In the forenoon a few very light showers fell, but later the sun shone again. As against a total of 2720 entries for the corresponding Show of last year, this year’s aggregate mounted to 3000 with a few late entries. Despite the unsettled conditions following on the outbreak of war, which came at the time when exhibitors were commencing, or already engaged in, the preparation of stock for exhibition, the stock entries have held remarkably to their usual numbers.
