AIR MAIL DELAYS.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 2. Tho postal division of the G.P.O. confirmed to-day a cable message that delays had occurred in tho delivery oi air mail posted in New Zealand late in August and the first days in September. The delay, it is stated, was due to war conditions which necessitated a temporary transfer of the air mail to a steamer in transit from Sydney. The date of arrival in England would be approximately that mentioned in the cable. Later air mails had not, as far as is known, been transferred to surface transport.
