ST. BRIGID’S TENNIS CLUB.

COURTS TOPDRESSED. The front courts of the St. Brigid’s Tennis Club have been topdressed with red sand, and members have expressed satisfaction at the result. It is stated that the sand tends to remove the glare of the sun and makes playing conditions more pleasant. Last week the club held a, competition, the president’s team being matched against tlio captain's. The former won hv 9 sets to 8. It is proposed to conduct similar competitions throughout the season as players are enthusiastic about the success of the match last week. Compared with last year, the membership has improved, there being close on fifty financial players.
