MR ROBERTSON'S SUCCESS. Per Press Association. WESTPORT, Nov. 1. AVitli 47 declaration votes to be taken into account, Mr J. M. Robertson still leads Air J. Kilkenny in the mayoral election with a majority of 77 votes. Figures given to-day were as fol-low:-—Robertson 1083. Kilkenny 1006; informal 8, total, 2097. Majority for Robertson, 77. An interesting comparison is furnished with the figures in 1935. when the same candidates contested the Mayoral seat: Kilkenny 1080, Robertson 653, informal 12. total 1745. Majority for Kilkenny 427. Yesterday’s poll was the heaviest for some years. The number of votes cast exceeded those of the previous mayoral contest by 399.
