TOWN PLANNING.
LEGISLATION DELAYED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. Regret that, because of the war, it had not been possible to bring down legislation to help the work of townplanning, both by the board and by local bodies, was expressed by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. W. E. Parry) in an address at the meeting of the Town Planning Board to-day. In his absence at a meeting of Cabinet Mr Parry’s address was read by the Under-Seeretary of Internal Affairs (Mr J. W. Ilecnan). Till the war clouds rolled away, the Minister said, he could only urge that the board use to the fullest extent the machinery of tho present , legislation, and make such progress in. town planning as was possible in the circumstances.
