NATIONAL PARTY.
VISIT OF HON. A. HAMILTON
A meeting of the Pahiatua electorate committee of the National Party was held in Woodville on Tuesday evening. Mr H. P. Horne (chairman) presided over a large attendance, including representatives from Makotuku. Woodville, Dai.inevirke, To Rohunga, Waitahora, Kumeroa and Pahiatua. The Dominion organiser (Mr T. G. Wilkes) was also in attendance. The meeting unanimously passed a resolution that the committee affirm its loyalty to the Government to assist and co-operate in all the, Government’s efforts to bring about a successful conclusion of the war. A further resolution was to the effect that the committee and its branches be kept intact throughout the duration of the war. It was announced that the Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Adam Hamilton, would pay a visit to Woodville, probably next Tuesday afternoon, in the course of his present tour, in order to meet members of the executive of the Woodville branch of the National Party. A motion of sympathy with Dir J. G Brechin in his illness was carried.
