THE WOOL MARKET.
LONDON SALE REVIEW. LONDON. July 29. The healthy demand for Rood combing 'wools at the London sales was not surprising. as Merinos arc still cheap compared with tho average price over a scries of years. Growers, however, have the consolation that tho 1938-39 clips have been cleared. Tho carry-forward balances arc on the light side despite tho lack of normal Japanese, German and Italian support. Rome traders consider that crossbred .Tnlues have overshot the mark.
