TRIBUTE TO THE LATE MRS H. E. PACEY. Continuithe winter session villi meetings held at the homes ol nicmhers, the Ladies’ Guild ol the St. Paul's .Methodist Chureh, I!roadway, met at the parson, go on Thursday. There was a large attendance. Mrs \Y. I!. Ca.meron presided. In making sympathetic reiereliee to the passing of the late Mrs 11. Iv Pacey. the president sp<ike of the great loss to the family. All remembered she said, the wonderful service their d parted frit ml and co-worker had rendered to the church and particularly her la hour ol love for the St Paul's -Church and congregation. Her beautiful Christian character and her unselfish service would ever be an inspiration to all who laboured for the cause of the Master, said Mrs Cameron. It was deoidi d that a letter of sympathy he sent, to the relatives of Airs Pacey and to Mrs McClennan and Miss Ralph who ;uso have suffered loss by bereavement. A reading bv Airs C. Mast ami selected solos by Albs G. Laurenson were well received and appreciated by all present. The competition in pine cone needle work brought forth a number of entries, there being some excellent work displayed. Afrs Allan received the prize. Afternoon tea was served by Afcsdames G. IT. Bycroft and A. Tregnrtha. Thanks for the use of the parsonage were accorded to Mrs Eaton on the motion of Airs Green. If tlie knob .breaks off a. kettle which is urgently wanted insert a metal screw from the underside and screw a cork on to the projecting point. This will suffice till the solderer gets busy.
