DR WILLIAM J. MAYO.

The death has occurred of Dr William J. Mayo, aged 78. who, with his brother Charles, who died oil May 26, founded the Mayo Clinic.
, Tho Mayo Clinic, in Minnesota. U.S.A., is perhaps the best-known in tho world. 1 Dr William ,1. Mayo was its chief of staff, lie had a distinguished career and was a member, honorary or otherwise. of practically every medical society in the United States. He had occupied high posts in societies in other countries. For his work he received many valuable and historic awards.
