FEILDING BOWLING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The 43rd annual meeting of the Feilding Bowling Club was held on Thursday, Air A. AA’illiamson,- presiding over a good attendance. The chairman reported that the club’s application for a revaluation ol its property had not met with success, the Valuation Department declining to grant the request, ihe clut> had also applied to the Borough Council for a further reduction in, or the waiving of, the demands for rates from the club, but as yet there bad been no response. . Reference was made by Air AA'. H. Duncan to the assistance rendered by the Ladies’ Bowling and Croquet Clubs; lie felt those organisations bad been the backbone of the club. Air Williamson also expressed his appreciation of the Indies’ support. After a brief discussion on the bal-ance-sheet. tho report (already published) and the balance-sheet were adopted.
The following officers were elected: President, Mr T. Burne; vice-presi-dent. Mr B. Hobday: lion, secretary. Air A. AA r . Phillips; lion, auditor. Air T. S. Goldsmith; committee, Alessrs AA 7 . Nesbit,* H. L. Simson. AA r . A. Rosoman, M. Lane. 11. G. Davidson, F. J. Jones, AA 7 . It. AA 7 enliam, A. G. Mil roll, and C. M. Sargisson. Mr Duncan was elected a life member in recognition of his lengthy service to the club. A ballot was necessary to elect the committee, and Air Sargisson com mented that this augured well for the coming year. Upon retiring from the office of president. Air Williamson said he was well pleased with the way the club had gone along during the past few years, and bo thanked memljers for the support be had been given. Air AA’illiamson offered his congratulations to his successor.
Air Burne expressed his thanks for his -election.
Mr Phillips said lie would have liked to have l>een relieved from the position ■of secretary, but agreed to accept office for a further term. He expressed his appreciation of the publicity g’ven club matters by the Press. It was decided to write a letter of appreciation to the greenkeeper (Ati AA 7 . G. Pcdley) for the excellent manner in which he had looked after the greens during the year. The greens had been particularly wojl prepared. It was reported that satisfactory terms could be made in regard to the rearrangement of the club’s mortgage, which matures next month. The club also bad building society shares which were bringing in a good rate of interest. Mr J. E. Barltrop was elected the club's honorary legal adviser.

Tim annual meeting of tho Oroua. Bowling Club will bo bold in the National committee rooms this evening. Saturday, July 29. at 7.30 pm. All members and intending members invited to attend.
