LATE MRS O. MONRAD.

“Deep sympathy throughoui the parish was ielt for Mr O. Monrad and iumily, in the death of Mrs Monrad. which took place on July 4,” states the All Saints’ Parish Magazine. Later in the reference the magazine states: “The vicar (Canon G. A. Woodward), in speaking at the funeral service, said that the late Mrs Monrad had been closely connected with the parish for many years, and hail been a devout worshipper in All _ Saints’ Church. She, in her unassuming way, had helped to build up the spiritual fabric of the parish, and this she had done, first of all in her own home, by the example of a good and devout wife, and loving mother. Just as the home was the stronghold of the nation, so it was doubly so in the very life of the Church, for it was in the home that Christian conduct was taught, and from the home Christianity spread throughout the nation. He thou spoke of her work for the Children’s Home, and how she had been mindful of the needs of the distressed and the orphaned. and also of her labours for the parish as a member of-the Ladies’ Guild. Those w'lio knew her would always remember her, for her gentle personality, her valued friendship, and her Christie;’ principles. As the procession left me church there came from the organ the note of triumph in the great Easter hymn, and we knew that she had passed into the wider and greater life.”
