EX-SERVICEMEN’S CLUB.
The Imperial Ex-Serviccmen’s Social Club liohl its monthly social and dance in the Orange Hall, when the largest attendance yet seen at these functions was in evidence. Aliss llitit Hull again favoured the audience with two songs which received much applause; the accompanists was Miss Joan Houghton. A now talented artiste to this city is Mrs Allan Oppatt, formerly Miss 1). Hughes, of Wanganui, who delighted the audience with Maori and Eastern songs, and who later rendered two violin solos; the accompanist was Air It. D. Armstrong. Solos were rendered on the bells by Air H. Thompson, of Opiki, who received much applause. Songs were rendered by Air Allan Oppatt, both of which wore enjoyed; the accompanist was Air It. 1). Armstrong. A novelty dance was won by Air and
Mrs Jordan. On behalf of the club the president (Mr A. Allison) thanked all who had assisted in making the evening enjoyable. Mr It. D. Armstrong was M.C. and supper was served by the ladies of the committee, Mesdames H. G. Ham, S. Thompson, ]<\ Coleman, A. Allison, S. Sheldrake, G. Best, R. I). Armstrong and R. Ilewitson.
