BRIDGES TRIAL.
STARTLING AFFIDAVIT. SAN FRANCISCO, July 17. In the Bridges trial to-day, a witness named Leech, faced with an affidavit be made in 1937 declaring he had been offered money to link Bridges with Communist Party activities and denying lie had any knowof whether Bridges was a member of the Communist Party, declared he had been compelled to sign tho document, fearing for the safety of himself and his family.
