MEETING WITH REPUBLICANS. NEW YORK, July 17. The Washington representative of the Associated Press of America says that President Roosevelt was reported to-day to have sent word to the Republican leaders of Congress to confer with him on the neutrality legislation, and Senator McNary (Republican leader) accepted. President Roosevelt is alleged to have said lie was not satisfied that all possible efforts had been made to secure the passage of the Bill this session.
