COLD AND CHANGEABLE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. July 17. The anti-cyclone over eastern Australia has remained stationary, and shallow depressions, moving from the southwest are crossing the Dominion. The forecast is for moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly winds, with cold and changeable weather, passing showers chiefly in and west of the ranges and further snow on the higher levels. Seas, rather rough. RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —6ft. 3in. Still rising.
