Per Press Association. AVELLTNGTON, July 14. A debate was held under the auspices of the Victoria College Debating Society, AVellington, to-night between Dr. 1). G McMillan. ALP. (Government) and Air S. G\ Holland. AI.'P. (Opposition) on the subject “That the Labour Government merits the continued confidence of the people of New Zealand.” The vote of the audience and students combined, totalling 350. was in favour of the motion. On the students’ vote alone the motion v;as carried bv 100 votes to 81.
