AIR FORCE AEROPLANES.

FLIGHT HINDERED. NEAV PLYAtOUTH, Juno 12. Bad weather prevented two Air force Airspeed Oxford bombing aeroplanes from completing their ilight irom Christchurch to Auckland to-day. One piloted by Flying-Officer J. Killian landed at New Blvmouth and the other at Palmerston North this afternoon to await better conditions.. 'I o-day the two machines left AYigrani together, but lost touch and were advised by radio not to continue. The weather also caused the descent at New Plymouth of the Public A\ orks Department’s Whitney Straight monoplane en route from AYellington to Hamilton, piloted by Air A. At. Pritchard. departmental aerodrome inspector and engineer. The machine which landed at Alilson was housed in the Union Airways hangar overnight and was able to proceed north at 10 a.m. to-day.
