The improved Agog scored a convincing win in the Waikato Hurdled, and the veteran Riotous won narrowly 'in a thrilling finish in the To Rapa. Steeplechase. Both wore ridden by F. R. Fouler, who was seen to great advantage on Riotous. The totalisator handled £50,881. compared with £46.620 10s on the first day last year, an increase of £4260 10s. ’J’iie turnover is a record for a winter meeting at Te Raja.
