SEGREGATION CAMPAIGN.

PROCESSION OF PROTEST. Received March 29. B.G a.m. CAPETOWN, March 28. Headed by a band 4000 coloured men held a torchlight procession near Parliament and booted members of Parliament as a protest against a campaign of segregation of natives. The police, in a stiff fight, were aided by civilians and they closed the gates. Four constables were sent to hospital. General Smuts denounced the segregation proposals and also the Nationalist and anti-Jewish propaganda.
