STRENTHENING OF FORCESCAPETOWN, March 13. A conference of commandants of Burgher Commandos has unanimously decided in favour of modernisation of the Commando forces. The Commando was adopted by the Boers in South Africa for expeditions against natives. It became however the administrative and tactical unit o the forces of the former Boer Republics. Each Commando was formed from the burghers of military age of electoral district.
