Although there is to be a branch ot the Social Security Department in Feilding, it appears that the bulk of the work ns far as the public are concerned will he dealt with at the Post Office. Air Orr (postmaster) stated at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce in Feilding. last evening, that probably pension business would be handled by the Social Security Office, but the registration of all persons over 16 years will be done at tlie Post Office. On Friday evening in tlie Drill Hall, Feilding, at; 8 o’clock Hon. AAAI erry. Dominion president of the New /calami Defence League, will deliver a, public addicss nil the aims and objects of tbo league. The question of providing New Zealand with adequate defence is of paramount importance, and a full attendance is urged.
