LAWN TENNIS.

On Saturday afternoon, senior and junior tennis teams from Nga Tawa Diocesan School (Marton) visited Palmerston North and played senior and junior teams from the Girls’ High School, at the High School. Nga Tawa seniors beat High School seniors, 6 matches to 3, and High School juniors boat Nga Tawa juniors 6 matches to 5. The sports committee entertained the visitors to afternoon tea. The teams were as follow : Girls’ High School seniors.—Tui Sexton, Aileen Nash. Pixie Porter, Margaret Beattie, Margaret Henderson, Llazcl Gill.

Nga Tawa seniors.—Pat Board, Pat Barnett, Mona Le Cren, Ngaire Fitzherbert, Alary McKenzie, Nancy Picot. Girls’ High School juniors.—Rachel Long, Hilda Christiansen, Alary Cook, Beryl Kay, June Davies, Beverley AVest. Nga Tawa juniors.—Pat Pearce, Pam Board, Sally Fitz Gerald, Ruth Gilligan, Shirley Kettle, Hilary Cameron.
