Preparations have boon made on a large scale for the demonstration tomorrow by modern machinery of farm clearing and cultivation. The plant to be -used includes a treedozer, angledozer, bulldozer, double drum winch, disc plough, clutching machine, a specially designed mole drainage machine, specially designed geared stump puller, heavy duty rooter, earth borer, caterpillar Diesel tractors, portable cranes, pneumatic portable cross-cut saw, and a log splitter. Visitors from a very wide area aTc coming to Westport. Hons. P. C. Webb, R. Semple, and W. Leo. Martin will represent the Government. The firm who are giving the demonstration have issued invitations to 800 people, in addition to issuing a general invitation to the public to attend. The Mayor (Mr ,T. Kilkenny) has a-sked business people to observe a holiday.
