TENSION MET WELL,
JDNDON, March 25.
The London Stock Exchange had a seesaw week, sentiment varying daily according to European happenings, but the markets withstood the tension remarkably veil and cloned much belter than might have been expected. The markets may have been weak, but were never demoralised. I here were a iew falls in long-dated gilt-edged securities, mostly about half a point. issues recovered from Monday’s a.nd Wed needay’s sharp relapses to show only trivial declines.
