COMING-OF-AGE.

DANCE FOR MR B. LOUISSON. A brilliant scene was presented in tho P.D.C. tearoom, on Saturday night, when Mrs C. Ixiuisson, of North Street, entertained over 200 guests at a dance in honour of the 21st birthday of her son, Mr Brian Louisson. The floral decorations were bright and graceful, bowls of flame dahlias, belladonna lilies, spindleberry and autumn foliage, also hydrangeas in varying shades, adorning the lounge, roses, carnations, almutillons, verbenas, and dahlias being artistically arranged in the ballroom, while the supper tables were ornamented with crystal bowls of flame dahlias and belladonna lilies.

Mrs Louisson received the guests, wearing a distinctive frock of black moire taffeta, the long slender lines breaking into bouffant style below the waist and having an orchid shoulder spray. She was assisted by Mrs J. Louisson, in sapphire blue velvet with touches of clover, and Messrs J. 1. and B. Louisson.

At supper time Mr B. J. Jaeoos proposed the health of Mr Brian Louisson, congratulating him on attaining his majority and wishing him a happy future. Mr Jacobs also paid a tribute to Airs Louisson.

In reply, Mr Louisson thanked Mr Jacobs for his remarks and his mother foi giving the parly, and expressed his pleasure at the presence of so many friends.

Mrs L. T. Paget (Wellington) haa made the handsome birthday cake, which was iced by Mrs Louisson. A professional orchestra supplied the music, and extras were contributed by Messrs J. A. Nash and B, Retrie.
