MELODY DANCE CLUB.

The usual fortnightly dance was held by the Melody Dance Club on Saturday evening in the Cosmopolitan Hall. A most enjoyable time was spent by .all in old-time and modern dancing. The hall was taxed to its utmost capacity. Much credit is due to those who attended in fancy costumes. One of the outstanding features was the

“Bridal Scene,” the bride being little Miss Lorraine Atkinson and the bridegroom Master Tom The bride looked most charming in a blue satin and net frock with stiffened net veil, held in y>lace with a spray of flowers to tone. Her bouquet was of cream roses, with silver streamers. The bride was attended by two dainty little bridesmaids; .Miss Pat Raisin was attired in turquoise blue taffeta, and Miss Nan Raisin, rose pink taffeta, both wearing butterfly bows on their hair, to tone. The bridesmaids’ frocks were made in most picturesque styles. They also carried pink, blue and silver archways, through which the bride and bridegroom marched when entering the hall, amidst loud applause, and to the 'Wedding March. Miss W. R. Hubbard, the organiser, received many complimentary remarks for her ability and well-thought-out, pretty little * wedding scene. Special prizes were awarded bv Miss Hubbard to the bride and bridegroom and bridesmaids: also to the smallest dressed boy in fancy dress, Master Barry Johnson. Much credit is due to the judge (Mrs lOric O’Brien) who showed discrimination in making the awards for the fancy dresses which were well deserved. A professional orchestra supplied the dance music exceptionally well. Careful supervision as M.C. was carried out by Mr W. Jordan. The M.C. announced that the first annual dance of the Melodv Dance Club is to be held at an early date, a.nd full particulars of this will bo well advertised shortly.
