PALMERSTON BEAT LEVIN. A HOLLOW VICTORY. Ringing down the curtain on the tennis competitions for the season, the Palmerston North Club, winners of the northern section of the Manavratu Lawn Tennis Asociation, scored a hollow victory over the southern champions, lx;vin, on the Linton Street courts on Saturday, winning by 16 rubbers to nil—32 sets t.o nil and 192 games to 67. Playing fine tennis, the city club avenged their defeat by Levin by 9 rubbers to 7 the previous year, and loft no doubt as to their supremacy at the present time.
