CONTROL OF FLYING.
SAFETY ASPECTS REVIEWED
(British Official Wireless;. RUGBY, March 22.
The report of the Gored Committee on the control of flying recommends that the Air Minister (Sir Kingsley Wood) should in future take cognisance of the amenities as well as the safety aspects of flying. Other strong recommendations in the report are that no increase in the existing numbers of aircraft used for banner-flying for advertising purposes should be permitted, and that the licenses of those already operating should not be renewed beyond October 1941, also, that the flight of certain aircraft over large cities and towns should be prohibited in the interests of safety.
