MECHANISED COLUMN.

TO HELP RECRUITING. LONDON, March 7. A column of tracked and wheeled tanks, armoured cars, machine-gun carriers, field and anti-aircraft guns, and signal and transport vehicles, totalling lUO vehicles, with 100 officers and men, will tour England from Cardiff to Newcastle, for six months next summer. The vehicles will visit Welsh, Midland, and Yorkshire industrial towns. The object is to give the public a view of tho latest military equipment to encourage recruiting.
