PRICES FIRM AT SYDNEY.
SYDNEY, March 20. At the wool sales to-day prices were ful.y firm on the closing rates of the previous. Sydney series. Competition was strong from the v ominem aim torkshire, wilii a fair demand from Japan. Greasy Merino fleece sold at 242 d. The offering totalled 10,975 bales, of which 9770 bales were sold at auction and 1669 disposed of privately.
