MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

The fortnightly sitting of the Dfagistrate’s Court was held to-day, Dir It. Df. Watson. iS.DL, presiding. Charged with being on licensed premises in Feilding on February 19, fines of 30s, with costs 10s, were imposed on Cecil B. Webb, of 138 Hcrefaunga Street, Palmerston North, and Robert H. Brvant, taxi driver, also of Palmerston North.

For breaking .a. lock in Manchester Square. Feilding, owned by the Feild:ng Borough Council. B. J. Dlatson. a lorry driver, of Feilding. was fined £2. with costs 10s. and was ordered to pav the cost of repairing the 'ock, ss. DIOTOIt REGULATIONS.

On informations laid by Dir D. DI Ford, Transport Department inspector I. Stiekley, labourer, of Feilding, was fined £1 10s for failing to possess a warrant of fitness and £1 lor having no front number plates. B. Dlatson, lorry driver, of Feilding, on a charge of speeding, was fined £1 ss, while lor a similar breach DI. J. Oliver, ol Kiinbolton Road, was fined £1 10s Having no warrant of fitness cost R. Taylor, garage assistant, Palmerston North, a fine of £1 ; Ernest 15. Petty, lorry driver, of Feilding. was fined £1 10s on a charge of speeding. For exceeding 30 miles per hour in his car in the borough of Feilding, E. H. Mahan, ear salesman, of Palmerston North, was fined £l. On a charge of a breach of his goods service license. I). I’. Domett, of Feilding, was fined 10s.
