At the Fitzlierbert Bridge grounds on Saturday last a day bird shoot was held. \ lsitors Irom Auckland, Wanganui and Pahiatua took part. The iirsl event was the fourth round lor the Clip. Messrs J. Dunlop, J. Donnelly and Ji. Sutherland divided the sweepstake, each having secured a possible. J lie oilier trophy shoot provided a keen contest, possibles being returned I) Messrs C. it. Bush, 1(. Median, T. Hayward and N. Hanson. Shooting off for the trophy, N. Hanson was the winner, T. Hayward taking the second trophy. M. Kearins and R. Maher each secured a possible in tlie fourth round of the de Tourret Cup, the vuuiiors-up being J. Donnelly anti T. Hayward with nine breaks apiece. The final shoot was a 10-bird Gimoraek shoot, which was divided by F. Fames, U. Maher and AY. A. 'Thomson with nine breaks apiece.
