BOWLING.

OYER-THE RANGE MATCH

VETERANS’ VASE,

In the match between Palmerston North Club*; and those over the range, at Dannevirke, on Saturday, the rink skipped by Air J. A. Nash, president of the Manawatu Centre, won its match by 21 points to 17.

The Northern Club veterans appreciated a recent visit from the Takaro Chili. A rink was chosen from the Northern Club that had not participated in a veterans’ game this season and acquitted themselves well. It was a coincidence that when the teams adjourned for afternoon tea the scores were almost equal, hut on resuming Takaro only added one point to_ their score of 9. The rinks were: Takaro (Morgan, Bnvliss, I‘rcw, Bussell, skip) 10 v. Northern (B. Bennett, Penny, Morshead, Kershaw, skip) 26.
