ENGLISH TOURISTS.
AYORKERS’ TRAVEL AIEAIBERS. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, Alarch 20. To spend nearly a month in New Zealand in the course of a world tour an English party of 18 persons organised by the AYorkers’ Travel Association. London, arrived from Sydney today. They were welcomed by representatives of the trade union movement in AYellington and later are to be received and entertained by the Premier (Air Savage). According to Air T. Groom, who was once connected with The Clarion, Sir Rolxirt Ilia tch ford A paper, hut who is now retired and is finding interest _ in the Travel Association, the association arose from a meeting at Geneva in 1921 at the time of the International Lalxmr Organisation Conference. It is non-party, non-sectarian and non-pro-fit-making. As a.n indication of the may it had developed last year, it took away over 65,000 people. Anybody could go. There were no restrictions and a person automatically became a member when he booked a tour. That entitled him to membership for two years and s. magazine free. The council of the association was entirely voluntary and all the profits went back to the association in the shape of either decreased fares or preferably increased facilities, Air Groom added. He mentioned that .a. shilling is deducted from the cost of individual tours to provide for convalescents who need the trip but are unable to afford it.
