RONGOTEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ROXGOTISA, March 16.

The return match between the Bulls and Rongotoa Young Farmers’ Club cricket teams was played at Rongotea on Saturday, tho day being one of brilliant sunshine. Batting first Rongotea compiled 101 runs (R. O. Glovn 16, Webb 15, W. Scott 15). to which Bulls replied with 60 (Arnon 18, Thorby 9, Garter 8). Following on. Bulls improved on their total, manairing to make 88 (Field 45, Ingram 20, giving a good account of themselves). Rongotea made the necessary 48 runs to win by six wickets, but as there was still time for play, and sport was the chief consideration, they went on to complete their innings for 110 runs (Scott 29, Webb 19, Young 14, and Dear 15, being the principal word’s). The most successful bowlers were: —For Bulls. Carter 5 for 22, and for Rongotea, Burgess 5 for 14. and Webb 4 for 39. Lunch arid afternoon tea were provided by the local club.
