LAWN TENNIS
SECONDARY SCHOOLS. AVINNERS OF TROPHIES. The annual tennis matches between secondary schools in the Alanawatu Lawn Tennis Association’s district were played oil the courts ol the Palmerston North Girls’ High School and the Manawatu Club on Saturday. Alessrs L. A. Raielienlmeli (representing the association) and R. Irwin, ol Levin, controlled the games, and under their direction the matches were got through with expedition. Although the final games of the hoys’ singles and girls’ doubles have yet to l>e played, the girls front the Levin District High School (winners of the Tunes and Oakley Cun last year) have again won this trophy. The Palmerston North Boys’ High School team won the G. H. Bennett Cup for the most points in the boys’ section. Details are as follow: GIRLS’ SINGLES.

WANGANUI. A competition was played between representatives of the Manawatu and Wanganui lawn Tennis Associations at Palmerston North on Saturday. The venue was the Palmerston North Club’s courts, which were in good condition. Alanawatu won by 17 sets to 7.
