Palmerston scored a first innings victory over Old Boys, City heat United by a similar margin, and Kia Toa accounted lor Combined Services by an innings and 171 runs. The only century-maker on the day was Collis (City), who gave a first-rate exhibition. His partner in a good stand was C. McVicar, and they turned what looked like a first innings deficit into a comfortable lead. Ihe outsta.nding bowlers were J. Gallichan and Pritchard. In the senior I? division a new series of matches were played. Scoring. in the main, was not high, but there were some good individual tallies, G. Griggs, the Y.M.C.A. captain, reaching his century. In the junior grades one-dav matches were played.
