HOLY PLACES

QUESTION OF SAFETY. NO CAUSE FOR ANXIETY. SURPRISE IN LONDON. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (British Official Wireless.) Received February 18, 10.5 a.m. RUGBY, Feb. 17. Reports reaching London of the manifestations of anxiety by Moslems in India regarding the safety of the Holy Places of Islam in Jerusalem have caused some surprise here. It is clear that this anxiety is not shared by the various Arab delegations attending the Palestine conference neither the delegation of Palestine Arabs nor those of tlie Arab countries —because it is well-known that the Holy Places remain in the custody oi the sheiks, who are their traditional guardians and that no one has the slightest intention of altering this position, for which Britain recognises her responsibility.
