CLAIM FAILS.

INTERESTING RULING. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 14. Both on principle and authority tho Arbitration Court, in a reserved judgment, held that William Thomas Charles Wortley, a tramway motorinan. was not entitled to succeed in his compensation claim against the Wellington City Corporation. Wortley injured his left knee in August, 1937, when alighting from a moving tram. He had handed over to another motorman some stops further back. The Court held that Wortley had remained on the tram entirely for his own purposes, and accordingly could not succeed in his claim.
