ANOTHER OUTBREAK.
BUSH FIRE TERROR
TEMPERATURES SOAR
MELBOURNE, Feb. 13
With the return of north winds and high temperatures bush fires sprang up in Victoria to-day at several points. The Black Forest, near AVoodend, was ablaze on a 12-mile front and the fire is being fought by 300 men. Three houses have been destroyed and others endangered. Another fire near Marysville threatened a mill before fire-fighters diverted it towards the already burnt-out country. Marysville township is safe. The Tallarook ranges are burning on a 10-mile front. No townships are in danger. Farmers are moving stock to safety. The present fires are unlikely to gain the magnitude of those of last month owing to the breaks formed previously by the burnt-out country. The city temperature reached 106.5 degrees to-day and up to 110 in the country. The city is shrouded in bush fire smoke.
