AMATEUR ATHLETICS
PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. For about the first time since the season commenced - the Palmerston North Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club experienced, a calm evening for their weekly floodlight sports, which took place at the- Sportsground last night. Several light showers were experienced, however. With the growth of the club new sections have from time to time been added to its programme, and last evening another 6tep in the club’s progress was taken when national dancing was held. In all classes the standard set was excellent for small children, and equal in some cases to that of older dancers. For presentation in this section four medals were donated by Miss Pat Over and four by the club, the presentation being made by Mr G. Tegg. .... An exhibition in walking 440 yards was given by W.
