VEHICLES IN COLLISION.

ELDERLY WOMAN HURT. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, Feb. 13. A spectacular collision between a light ear and a Government omnibus occurred in Hastings to-night, resulting in the removal of Mrs Emma Tate, aged 75, of Hastings, to hospital. Her condition is serious. The car was travelling in a westerly direction along the main street. It struck the bus, which was travelling across an intersection, squarely amidships and the forepart was completely wrecked. Slight damage was done to the bus. The passengers were startled but uninjured. The driver of the car. Mr Norman Tate, of Waipukurau, escaped with a scalp wound.
