CASES UNDER GAM TNG ACT. Per Press Association. MASTEItTON. Jan. 26. In the Ma.sterton Magistrate’s Court-, to-day. l>efore Mr H. P. Lawry. SAL, Jack Brooks was fined £2O and Herl>ert La-very £SO on bookmaking charges. Lavery was described by the police as one of the biggest lx>okmakeris in town. Both defendants pleaded guilty. On the application of the police a remand was granted in the case in which Arthur Tobb. who pleaded not guilty, was charged with a breach of the Gaming Act.
