CHARGES UNSUPPORTED.
THE BRIDGES CASE. WASHINGTON. Jan. 24. The Secretary of Labour (Miss Frances Perkins) has issued a statement announcing that the Dies Committee which is investigating unAmerican activities had failed to present evidence in support of charges that the Australian, Mr Harry Bridges, the union leader, advocated the overthrow of the Government.
Miss Perkins said that Mr Bridges had entered the country legally in 1920.
