At, the I’ahiatua stock salo on Tuesday a, good varding of lambs came forward to a good attendance of buyers, and met. with good competitio.n Buyers’ limits were, restricted for good quality lambs and the top lines showed a depreciation in value ' upon previous quotations. The medium! and ciill lambs met with a good sale and: wore dearer than last week’s quotations. . Some good top lines of lambs were offer- , ed. Quotations arc:—Shorn w.f. wether lambs, 16s Id, 15s 2d, 13s 3d, 13s, 12s 6d to 12s; medium w.f.w. lambs, shorn, Us,! 10s 9d, 10s 2d to 8s 6d; small shorn wether’ lambs, 7s Id, 6s 9d to 6s 6d; woolly wether lambs, 15? 3d, 14s 9d, 14s, 13s lOd; - b. lambs (good), 17s 3d; medium, 13s lOd to 12s 6d; small lambs (culls), 6s, 5s 9d to 5s 6d; cull ewe lambs, 10? Id; store ewes, ss. Our entry of 65 pigs realised as follows: Slips, 255; weaners (good), 255, 235, 21s, 19s to 17s 6d.
