DUNEDIN, Jan. 24.
A fair offering was submitted at the sheepskin sale to-day. Competition was fairly spirited and well spread, prices for sound-pelted descriptions being occasionally easior. Shabby, faulty, dead, damaged and inferior sorts were in good demand and sold round about last sale’s rates. Polts wore id cheaper. Merinos soid up to 7id. halfbreds to 7Jd, fine crossbreds to 7id, crossbreds to 7id, fine crossbred lambs to 7d, and halfbred hoggets to 7jd. Following is the official range of »rices: Merino, fuil-wool, 7d to 7id a lb; fine halfbred, full-wool, 7jd to 7|d; halfbred, full-wool, 7id to 73d; three-quarter-wool, 7d to 7id; half-wool, sid to 6^d; quar-ter-wool, 4id to sd. Fine crossbred: Fullwool, to 7id: three-quarter-wool, 6d to 7id; half-wool, to 6id. Crossbred: Fullwool, 7d to 7id; throe-quarter-wool, 6id to 7d; half-wool, sid to 53d; quarterwool, 4id to 4fd. Hoggets: Halfbred. 7id to 7id; fine crossbred, 63d to 7d; crossbred) 6id to 63d. Lambs: Halfbred, 63d to 7d: fino crossbred. 6id to 7d; crossbred, to 63d; dead halfbred, 6jd to 7d ; fino crossbred, 6d to 6id; crossbred, s|d to 6d. Pelts: First, 3jd to 4d; second, 2id to 23d.
