NEW SOVIET FACTORIES
(Independent Gable Service.) Received January 11, 8.5 a.m. MOSCOW, Jan. 10.
A total of 165,000,000 roubles is being spent in 1939 on the construction of new textile factories in many centres.
Industrial circles consider that this expansion is necessary to enable textiles to ho exported to compete with England.
The nominal value of the rouble in Jlritish currency is 2s l?cl.
